RAC have an exciting new opportunity for a hybrid based role as a Propositions Manager to help manage retention programmes for the Consumer Roadside membership base. This role is pivotal in helping to drive loyalty and maximise value for RAC by managing the key retention programmes defining, driving and delivering initiatives at each stage of the member’s life cycle.
The successful candidate will have worked in a similar B2C marketing/ proposition role and be ready to take their career to the next level.
Based in our Bristol office on a hybrid basis (2 days in-office per week). Occasional visits to our offices in Bescot and Stretford may also be required.
The role will commence 1st January 2024
Core Responsibilities:
- Creative, detail-orientated & analytic mind with sound financial acumen / commercial awareness.
- Work with the RAC Membership and Retention Team to develop and deliver the consumer roadside value and growth annual budget and targets for the membership base.
- Develop business case and ROI metrics to support all activity delivered to market.
- Ownership of the profitability and performance of the retention programmes.
- Manage retention programmes to ensure we drive loyalty and maximise value.
- Become subject matter expert on membership base make up. Use member insight, channel and customer trigger information to understand customer needs.
- Define and develop retention programmes that address customer needs that help drive loyalty and / or value growth.
- Programme management: manage delivery teams to ensure programmes are delivered on time, to budget with desired performance outcomes.

• Manage effective relationships with key stakeholder teams: Customer Insight, Acquisition, Finance, Pricing, Contact Centre, Product & Propositions Management, Brand and Customer Communications and Technology / Digital Teams.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm to learn – used to working in a large organisation with experience of cross functional working and bringing others on board to help deliver the customer facing plans.
• Experience of consumer marketing, and ideally retention marketing, gained within a consumer services brand.
• Creative & analytic mind with sound financial acumen / commercial awareness.
• Knowledge of financial services sector and /or retail sector an ideal.
• Experience of managing commercial KPIs.
• Good track record in delivery with results – proven ability to make things happen.
Qualifications
• Preferred: Business or Marketing related degree & / or marketing qualifications (eg. CIM or IDM)
