About The Role

The RAC is on a journey to revolutionise the way we provide our differentiated range of driving services to our 13 million personal and business members, so we’re looking for problem-solvers and passionate engineers to build digital products with cutting-edge technology. 
 
We have the exciting opportunity to appoint a passionate Agile Delivery Lead, who is interested in creating an Agile environment that puts customers at the heart of what we do.  
 
The core function of this role is to make the team successful and ensure they perform to the best of their abilities, helping them focusing on the right activities, while facilitating all the Agile ceremonies and artefacts and removing impediments. 

Joining Digital Development Team on a permanent basis, this role will be a hybrid role, where you will spend two days in the office in Bradley Stoke and three days at home.
 

What You’ll Do… 

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for upskilling the team in Agile ways of working that enable the team to self-organise, manage, and deliver value for our customers and company, along with the following;
  • Be accountable for maximizing Squads ability to deliver value, hit Sprint goals, and contribute to Strategic Objectives.
  • Also be accountable for the Agile process the squad follows to deliver value – acting as a servant leader, delivery manager and coach.
  • Identifying, managing, tracking, removing, and escalating blockers/impediments at team level to maintain flow of value, ensuring team progress.
  • Leads team meetings e.g., Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retros, etc. to embed best practices and experience to improve.
  • Tracks and reports on team performance, progress on goals, and value delivery.
  • Uses visual management tools to report on performance. 
What You’ll Need… 

Possessing ASM/PSMII or equivalent Agile certifications would be essential to be considered for this role, you will need the following; 

  • Proven work experience and/or certification as a Scrum Master, with expertise and deep knowledge of Agile practices and ways of working.
  • Strong skills and experience with using Agile working tools (i.e., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar).
  • Deep understanding of Scrum principles, practices, and frameworks, with the ability to tailor them to suit the team's needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with colleagues at multiple levels of a company.
  • Coaching, group leadership and team building experience/skills (and/or qualifications).
  • Experience/understanding of Cloud-based technology solutions and delivery, including concepts like containerization, CICD pipelines and Mobile App Development ecosystems.
