We’re excited to offer a new opportunity for a Mid-Level Frontend Developer to join our SEO & Marketing team. You’ll play a key role in the product team, delivering high quality customer-facing features, championing best engineering practices, and help improve the first impression of many users with RAC.
You’ll take ownership of technical design discussions, contribute innovative ideas, and collaborate closely with UX, product and engineering colleagues to shape outstanding digital experiences.
The successful person will need a high level of technical expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, SCSS, React, alongside proficiency with the Azure Cloud Environment.
This is a hybrid role, working 2 days a week from our Bradley Stoke office and 3 days a week from home offering flexibility while being part of a dynamic and supportive team.

What you’ll do
- Develop high-quality, maintainable front-end solutions using HTML, SCSS/CSS, TypeScript/JavaScript, React and Next.js.
- Contribute to technical designs, architecture discussions and practical recommendations to improve services.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance customer experience and internal processes.
- Troubleshooting operational and integration issues across the digital estate.
- Maintaining documentation and architecture artefacts for both current and future-state digital platforms.
- Staying up to date with emerging technologies and assessing their relevance and suitability for RAC.
- Providing accurate estimations for new initiatives and challenging assumptions
- Contributing to improvements across the full delivery lifecycle within Agile teams.
- Building and maintaining component libraries using tools (e.g. Storybook).
- Help improve the SEO ranking through technical improvements and ensuring Accessibility standards are met.
What you’ll need
- Strong experience with HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with industry-standard engineering patterns, including;

- Component reusability
- A solid understanding of Agile methodologies, values, and practices.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, organisation and time management skills.
