About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Insight Analyst to join our Retention division at the RAC, playing a critical role in shaping our ongoing customer engagement, loyalty and commercial strategy.

As a Senior Insight Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping RAC’s marketing and commercial strategy. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating complex data into compelling insights that drive performance in the Breakdown retention business area.

You will analyse and optimise our retention and customer lifecycle strategies through deep, data‑driven insight. Deep‑diving into digital and CRM performance metrics, you will identify churn risks and opportunities for improved engagement and uncover friction points across the customer journey.

You will lead advanced analytics projects and champion data driven decision making to maximise marketing ROI and deliver measurable business impact.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years’ experience working in analytics, be highly proficient in SQL and have experience working in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid role, working 2 days a week from our Bradley Stoke office and 3 days a week from home offering flexibility while being part of a dynamic and supportive team.

What you’ll do

  • Lead major insight initiatives across our Retention division.
  • Translate complex analysis into simple, actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Integrate digital and ranges of offline datasets to measure customer journeys and marketing effectiveness.
  • Influence product and service development using behavioural and transactional data.
  • Shape retention strategy through robust analysis, attribution modelling, and targeting optimisation.
  • Support testing and scaling of innovative retention approaches using structured experimentation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product to embed data‑driven decision‑making across channels.
  • Collaboration with Finance and Pricing teams to support a consistent version of the truth between analysts and other reporting functions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimise segmentation/targeting that will drive ARPU improvements and/or renewal rate benefits.
  • Build strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders across the division and wider organisation.

 

What you’ll need

  • A proactive, self-starting Senior Analyst with 4+ years’ experience in a data analytics role, with a strong focus on digital analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, Power BI
  • Highly numerate and advanced analytical and problem‑solving ability
  • Ability to translate complex data into compelling stories for a range of audiences.
  • Highly capable in PowerPoint, simplifying complexity for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working with senior leaders, providing strategic and professional advice.
