About The Role

RAC has an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Analytics Engineer to join our Consumer Pricing & Value team. This role offers considerable opportunity to influence pricing outcomes across RAC’s largest P&L, supporting strategic priorities through the deployment, automation and operationalisation of pricing models. 

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role sitting at the intersection of pricing, analytics and engineering. Working closely with pricing analysts, you’ll turn Python-based pricing models and commercial logic into scalable, reliable production processes that power real business decisions. This isn’t a behind the scenes engineering role, it’s a practical, fast-paced position where your work directly shapes acquisition & retention performance, profitability and customer outcomes.

What You’ll Do 

Pricing Model Deployment & Automation 

  • Productionise pricing models by converting analysts’ Python code into maintainable, scalable pipelines 

  • Build and automate workflows supporting elasticity, forecasting, optimisation and other pricing models 

  • Design and maintain end-to-end data flows including ingestion, transformation, feature preparation and quality checks 

  • Develop and manage API integrations, including competitor price feeds and downstream systems 

Data, Reliability & Governance 

  • Ensure reliable pricing outputs through version control, testing, documentation and monitoring 

  • Implement data quality checks and monitor production-grade pricing processes 

  • Validate model performance over time and recommend corrective improvements 

  • Ensure pricing activity aligns with FCA regulatory guidance and governance sign-off processes 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Partner with Acquisition and Retention Squads, Pricing Analysts, Finance, Marketing, Data and IT 

  • Translate pricing logic into production-ready processes alongside analysts 

  • Build credible relationships with stakeholders across the Consumer business 

  • Support delivery of Consumer pricing strategy and initiatives 

What You’ll Bring 

Skills, Knowledge & Experience 

  • Strong SQL and solid Python experience, with hands-on model packaging and automation 

  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and production workflows 

  • Understanding of APIs, data ingestion and system integrations 

  • Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake) and Git/version control 

  • Working knowledge of pricing concepts such as elasticity, margin and forecasting 

  • Background in analytics engineering, data engineering or a technical analytics role

  • Strong delivery focus with the ability to handle complex commercial challenges 

  • Confident stakeholder manager able to build credibility and trust 

  • Commercially minded with strong financial awareness 

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, regulated environment

Qualifications 

  • Relevant numerate degree or post-graduate qualification 

Location | Working Pattern | Salary 

This role follows a hybrid model, with required office attendance in our Bradley Stoke, Bristol office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 

Salary aligned with market and experience, plus a 10% conditional annual bonus.
