Finance Business Partner

Join the RAC as a Finance Business Partner and play a key role in supporting financial performance and decision-making across the business. 

We're currently recruiting for two Finance Business Partner opportunities, one supporting our Roadside Operations function and the other supporting our Head Office teams. Both roles provide the opportunity to partner with senior stakeholders, delivering commercial insight and help drive performance across some of the RAC's most important business areas. 

Working within our Finance team, you'll combine strong business partnering skills with hands-on financial analysis, helping stakeholders understand performance, identify opportunities and make informed decisions. You'll be equally comfortable building relationships, analysing data and finding smarter ways of working through process improvement and automation. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys both the commercial and technical aspects of finance. Whether supporting operational teams or corporate functions, you'll play a key role in planning, forecasting, reporting and delivering meaningful business insight. 
 

What you'll do 

• Partner stakeholders to support financial performance and decision-making 

• Own budgets, forecasts, monthly reporting and trading updates 

• Deliver accurate P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and project reporting 

• Analyse performance, identifying trends, risks, opportunities and performance drivers 

• Provide commercial insight, challenge and recommendations to stakeholders 

• Support investment appraisals, business cases and strategic initiatives 

• Build robust financial models and deliver meaningful analysis 

• Develop trusted relationships across Finance and the wider business 

• Maintain strong financial controls and governance processes 

• Support continuous improvement and help shape better ways of working across Finance 
   

What you'll need 

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with 2+ years post-qualification experience 

• Experience within a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance, FP&A or similar role 

• Strong planning, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis experience 

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills 

• Experience improving, automating or streamlining finance processes 

• Strong commercial awareness and ability to provide actionable insight 

• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills 

• Confidence challenging constructively and supporting business decision-making 

• Experience working with large datasets and complex financial information 

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines 

• A proactive, resilient and continuous improvement mindset 

• Experience using Power Query, Power BI, Alteryx or similar tools would be advantageous 
   

Location & Salary 

Location: Bescot, Walsall (hybrid working, 2 days in the office and three days from home) 
 

Salary: Aligns with market and experience + annual bonus
