Rescue and Recovery Deployment Operations Manager (Out of Hours)

This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of the most critical areas of RAC’s operation, making sure our members receive the right support, at the right time, when they need us most. As Rescue and Recovery Deployment Operations Manager for Out of Hours, you will play a pivotal role in leading deployment teams across nights and weekends, driving performance, improving service outcomes and shaping how we deliver rescue and recovery activity across a true 24/7 environment.
We are seeking two operations managers to work 4 on 4 off who will be at the heart of fast-paced operational decision making, ensuring internal and external resources are deployed effectively to maximise customer experience and operational efficiency. Working closely with senior leaders, operational peers, technical teams, contractor partners and frontline colleagues, you will help deliver consistent outcomes across RAC’s rescue and recovery network.
What you'll do
- Leading associated deployment teams across the Out of Hours function, creating clarity, momentum and accountability across a complex operational environment.
- Driving delivery of key operational and customer measures.
- Ensuring rescue and recovery resources are deployed right first time to support members.
- Coaching and developing Deployment Leads and team members, building capability, confidence and consistency across the operation.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, remove friction and create better outcomes for customers, colleagues and partners.
- Championing change and transformation, helping teams adopt new ways of working and embedding continuous improvement into everyday activity.
- Building strong relationships across RAC, including Group Operations, technical teams, commercial areas, internal audit and external network partners.

- A proven operational leader with experience managing complex, time-sensitive teams and delivering performance through others.
