RAC are on the lookout for a proactive Test Analyst to join our Test team on a permanent basis.
You will play a significant role in ensuring the successful delivery of RAC projects through robust testing activities.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will plan, execute, and document testing across a range of systems, ensuring all outputs meet the highest standards. You’ll be able to identify any issues or trends throughout to help ensure there is no impact to revenue, customers and our operational channels. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring accurate and up-to-date reference data across both production and test systems.
This role will be a hybrid role, where you will spend two days in our Bradley Stoke offices, and three days at home.
Flexibility is essential for this role, as occasional work outside of core business hours may be required to meet critical business needs.
What you will do…
- Support the development of new products and processes by testing system functionality and ensuring robust process performance.
- Review functional and design specifications to fully understand each deliverable and ensure appropriate test coverage.
- Identify system, data, and process failures and recommending improvements to simplify operations and reduce risk.
- Define test requirements from specifications, mapping test cases, and designing comprehensive test coverage plans.
- Manage and organise a variety of tasks as directed by Project Leads, while keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
- Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including the creation of test plans and business impact assessments for product or process changes.
- Provide high-quality advice and insight to stakeholders on testing, system behaviour, and risks.
- Look for issues or trends that could signal operational or customer impact.
What you will need…
The ideal candidate will be self-driven, ideally hold a ISTQB Foundation Software Testing qualification, and have previous experience of test analysis in a high-pressured environment.
You will also need:
- The ability to work across different project methodologies.
- Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into test plans.
- An understanding of contact centre structures, membership processes, products, and practices.
- Experience implementing testing best practices, tailored to project needs.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong focus on deadlines and deliverables, ensuring quick identification of defects and bugs.
- Good knowledge of JIRA
- Broad knowledge of various software technologies, including SQL, Microsoft Azure, and SOAUPUI applications relevant to the RAC business.
- An understanding of regulatory requirements, including Insurance and FSA regulations.
