About The Role

Customer Solution Specialist – Contractor Desk 

Location: The Vic, Salford Quays 
Contract: Permanent | 35 hours per week 
Working hours: Monday–Sunday between 6am and Midnight (including weekends and Bank Holidays) 

At RAC, we’re all about being there for our customers when they need us most and we’re looking for a Customer Solution Specialist – Contractor Desk to join our welcoming CSC team at Salford Quays. If you enjoy talking to people, staying calm under pressure and genuinely making a difference when it matters, this could be a great fit for you. 

What you’ll be doing: 

You’ll be at the heart of our Contractor Desk, speaking with customers, RAC patrols, contractors and flatbed drivers. You’ll handle a mix of inbound and outbound calls, sharing key updates such as ETAs, gathering essential information and ensuring everyone has what they need before arriving at a breakdown. 

You’ll also be responsible for meeting SLA and KPI targets, including productivity, downtime and complaint compensation. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team that works together to achieve the best outcomes.

You’ll thrive in this role if you: 

  • Enjoy speaking to people and delivering great service with empathy and confidence 

  • Can stay calm and focused in a fastpaced, sometimes highpressure environment 

  • Are comfortable using multiple systems and have good PC and keyboard skills 

  • Communicate professionally with both colleagues and customers 

  • Take initiative and enjoy solving problems before they escalate
