RAC has an exciting opportunity for a
Finance Analyst to join our Roadside Operations Finance team, supporting performance across a critical area of the business.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, where you’ll deliver high-quality reporting and insight to support operational and commercial decision-making. Working closely with Finance Business Partners and the wider Operations team, you’ll play a key role in driving cost control, improving data quality, and enhancing reporting processes.

What You’ll Do
Process Improvement & Delivery
Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and efficiency
Support automation and simplification of existing reporting
Enhance data quality and consistency across outputs
Financial Reporting & Control
Prepare and deliver accurate reporting across Roadside costs and KPIs
Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and controls
Ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with governance standards
Planning, Analysis & Insight
Analyse cost performance and key operational drivers
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
Produce clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making
Business Partnering & Collaboration
Support Finance Business Partners with analysis and reporting
Build effective working relationships with operational stakeholders
Present financial information in a clear and concise manner
What You’ll Bring
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis
Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx)
Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and processes
Experience in a fast-paced finance environment
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
Personal Attributes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain financial data clearly
Commercial awareness and interest in operational performance
Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
Proactive, organised, and focused on continuous improvement
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a finance function in a fast-paced environment
Actively studying towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (desirable but not essential)

This role follows a hybrid model, with required office attendance in our Bescot, Walsall office 2 days per week.
