This is a critical leadership role with significant influence across the wider RAC Group. Reporting into the senior leadership team, you'll own the growth agenda for our mobile mechanics within the SMR Division, developing and executing a scalable strategy that drives member acquisition, engagement, retention and long-term profitability.
You'll combine exceptional commercial acumen with deep expertise in customer growth, digital channels and proposition development, ensuring we maximise the opportunity within our existing membership base whilst unlocking new growth opportunities.
What you’ll do
- Set and deliver a clear growth strategy focused on increasing demand, conversion and lifetime value across our member base
- Own performance across key acquisition channels, including PPC, SEO and wider digital marketing
- Lead weekly trading, bringing pace, focus and accountability to commercial performance and KPIs
- Build and optimise CRM and lifecycle strategies to improve engagement, cross-sell and retention
- Improve end-to-end ecommerce performance, from landing page through to checkout, using testing and insight
- Shape and evolve the Mobile Mechanics proposition, identifying new ways to grow and stand out
- Drive repeat usage by building strong loyalty and habit-forming member journeys
- Lead and develop cross-functional teams across marketing, ecommerce and digital product
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, including the SMR leadership team, to align on growth priorities
- Create a high-performing, data-led culture that balances pace with good judgement
What you’ll need
- Significant leadership experience in a senior commercial, growth, marketing or digital leadership role within a customer-centric B2C business
- Proven track record of defining and delivering large-scale growth strategies that have generated substantial revenue and profit growth
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including ownership of P&L performance, investment decisions and growth targets
- Expertise across customer acquisition, retention, loyalty, CRM, ecommerce, digital marketing and customer experience
- Experience scaling consumer-focused businesses through data, technology and customer-led innovation
- Demonstrated success operating within complex, matrix organisations and influencing executive-level stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to translate vision into operational execution
